It sucks that you can’t configure shortcut keys in the linux version of spotify (like going to the next song etc).
Fortunately you can leverage xbindkeys. Run the following commands then you’ll be able to leverage those buttons on your keyboard. If you don’t have the buttons you can map the actions to key commands. xbindkeys-config is a handy gui tool to aid with that.
